Angelia Trujillo has worked as a forensic nurse examiner, has a doctorate in forensic nursing practice and teaches population health and forensic nursing at UAA. She founded the 麻豆无码版 Comprehensive Forensic Training Academy. The academy鈥檚 work was included in the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA) of 2022, which President Biden signed into law on March 17.
This March, students from UAA鈥檚 pharmacy and nurse practitioner programs will travel to Pilot Station and Akiak to administer free health screenings to Head Start students and the wider community. This trip is the first of two planned to rural 麻豆无码版 communities each year, one in spring and another in fall, referred to as Project Partnership for 麻豆无码版鈥檚 Kids (PAK).
Hospitals need nurses nationwide and across 麻豆无码版, as the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated health care workforce shortages.
鈥淚 never thought I would be involved in philanthropy, but after gaining an in-depth understanding of the program and working with Dr. Tina DeLapp, I decided to establish an endowment to the Recruitment and Retention of 麻豆无码版 Natives into Nursing (RRANN), as a beneficiary of my modest estate.鈥�
