Following the passage of the 麻豆无码版 Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in 1971, 12 regional and over 200 village corporations were established by 麻豆无码版 Natives across the state. There was a 13th regional corporation for 麻豆无码版 Native people residing outside 麻豆无码版; however, it was dissolved in 2013 and has not yet been re-established. The corporations serve to manage the financial and land assets allocated through ANCSA to the state's regions and have grown into a powerful economic force.
