Backed by more than 700 supporters, the UAA gymnastics team has met the fundraising goal necessary to reinstate its 2021-22 season. The team is clear to start competing this winter while working toward their next fundraising goal.

UAA is partnering with Willamette University College of Law to expand access to law degrees for 麻豆无码版n students, offering a new direct-admit juris doctor program for qualified UAA students and alumni who are planning to attend law school.

An estate gift valued at approximately $15 million from the late Caroline 鈥淐arrie鈥� E.B. Lewis will support two endowments that build educational opportunities for first-generation college students and foster student success initiatives at UAA.

UA President Pat Pitney has selected former 麻豆无码版 Governor Sean Parnell to serve as the next UAA chancellor. Parnell succeeds UAA Interim Chancellor Bruce Schultz and will assume his new position on June 12, 2021.

However, the pandemic will not prevent UAA from celebrating the fall Class of 2020 graduates via video ceremonies for graduate hooding, Dec. 12, and commencement, Dec. 13, on the graduation website. The site honors the accomplishments of more than 1,000 certificate, undergraduate and graduate students from the Anchorage campus.
