UAA Residence Life is seeking help for Fall Move-In.
Sustainable outreach
Help us be sustainable and creative in connecting with residents! We are happy to help promote your organization or upcoming event through both targeted print advertising (we print and post on your behalf in smaller quantities and more targeted, secured areas) and via our Facebook and Instagram accounts--visit our departmental Collaboration and Outreach Form for more information.
Please note: geared specifically toward the move-in period must be received by Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, and will be processed on a first-response/first-served basis! If your department uses Canva, please share an editable Canva link so we can copy/resize your design for social media as applicable.
Promotional swag
We anticipate about 760-800 residents this fall, and will be accepting promotional swag between Monday, July 25 and Monday, Aug. 10 (noon) to ensure expedient placement. Each resident will have a heavy-duty, environmentally friendly grocery bag filled with campus contributions placed in resident rooms prior to move-in. Items may include water bottles, notebooks, pencils, pens, stress balls, non-perishable, pre-wrapped snacks to help share your message and let residents know about your program or service!
Have stuff to contribute? Items may be intercampus mailed to CMNS 101, attention Seawolf Move-In, or hand-delivered to the Gorsuch Commons Information Desk, at 3700 Sharon Gagnon Lane (Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.) where your delivery will be logged.
Fall Move-In volunteering
Interested in lending a helping hand during Move-In? We'd love that, and we know the residents would, too! We're looking for volunteers for morning and afternoon shifts on Thursday, Aug. 20, and we'll open registration on Monday, Aug. 10. More news coming soon!
Fall Move-in tents, tabling and solicitation
Safety is our first priority during fall move-in! Due to the number of residents, families and volunteers actively moving throughout the residential community, we are not able to accommodate any tents, tabling or solicitation by organizations. Be sure to check out our departmental if you'd like to connect with residents this year - we'd love to schedule something with you!
