Cabin Fever debate champions

The Seawolf Debate team held the championship round of the 18th annual Cabin Fever Debates on Tuesday, Feb. 17. The round addressed the motion 鈥淭he US government should adhere to the modern revival of the Monroe doctrine鈥. Defending the motion in the first proposition was the team 鈥淢ongolian Paddy鈥檚鈥 Temujin Batjargal and Max Cason. Closing the debate for the proposition was 鈥渨e鈥檙e changing this later鈥 Chloe McKay and Arianna Semonin. Opening the opposition of the debate was the team 鈥淐rafting Outdoors鈥 Ray Holloway and Allison Heaston. The second opposition team was 鈥淕eriatric Cats鈥 Josephine Dyer and Bryana Ward.
The winners of the Championship round were the team arguing in the closing opposition Josephine Dyer and Bryana Ward. In addition to the top team, the debate organizers also recognized the top debater of the tournament with the Quianna Clay Award for Excellence in Debating given to Josephine Dyer.
