UAA leads discussion and execution in preserving Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Native languages

Last month, the UAA Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Native Studies Department hosted a panel discussion surrounding
SB 130 that recently established The Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Native Language Preservation and Advisory
Council in the Office of the Governor. The purpose of the community forum was to consider
the intersection of state university and community efforts to preserve Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Native
languages, to build on the momentum of SB 130 and place particular emphasis on UAA's
role in Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Native languages preservation.
