Research/Creative Activity Resources

UAA's Office of Research has programming for faculty doing research and/or creative activity throughout the academic year. If you are interested in getting involved, the department sends out information through the and the . Subscribe to their listserv to find out about opportunities!

The Center for Community Engagement & Learning (CCEL) has Community Engagement Mini-Grants and a Selkregg Award that can be used for community-engaged research and creative activity. CCEL also has the Community Engaged Student Assistantship program, where you can have students help support your teaching, research, or creative activity.

Professional Development

We have professional development programming throughout the year. Some of the faculty development programs we offer include:

• Teaching Academies at the beginning of Fall and Spring semesters
• Trainings on teaching online courses, Blackboard Ultra, and accessibility
• trainings on conflict resolution, leadership, and more
• Faculty Fellows programs with the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence and the Center for Community Engagement & Learning
• Peer-to-peer programming through the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence

Funding Opportunities
