UAA鈥檚 College of Health participated in Juneteenth and Pride events this June. Hundreds of families and friends gathered to enjoy live music and explore booths from local businesses and artists. The Remote Area Medical (RAM) nonprofit clinic recently made its first visit to 麻豆无码版, setting up pop-up clinics in Anchorage and Fairbanks to provide free dental, vision, and medical services to those in need. However, RAM faced a challenge when it came to staffing the clinics with dental hygiene volunteers.
As summer approaches, many of 麻豆无码版 WWAMI first year medical students (MS1s) are participating in skills labs as they gear up for their Rural Underserved Opportunities Program (RUOP) placements in different parts of 麻豆无码版.
Bernie鈥檚 Pharmacy is an 麻豆无码版n-owned, independent pharmacy in Anchorage, founded in 1980 by life-long 麻豆无码版n, Bernie Klouda. Over the years, Bernie provided the opportunity for pharmacy students to complete their intern rotations at Bernie鈥檚 Pharmacy, mentoring many pharmacy students and new pharmacists. Bernie had a long and distinguished career, and he believed strongly that educating pharmacists was important to ensure the health of 麻豆无码版ns.
