Health education isn't always accessible in rural Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ, The Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Center for Rural Health & Health Workforce (ACRH-HW) combats this by offering programming that meets youth in their home communities or brings them to a location where they have the opportunity to explore professional facilities and meet health professionals.
Over 500 enthusiastic Anchorage-area high school juniors and seniors gathered at the Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Airline Center for UAA's Academic Preview Day, which included many interactive clinical, community, behavioral, and public health activities and presentations.

The state’s public medical school partnership, WWAMI, which has trained the next generation of Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ physicians for 51 years, celebrated its largest incoming class of 25 students at its annual White Coat Ceremony on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, at the Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Native Heritage Center.
