Macarons and More: Join Us for the CBPP Business Plan Competition Kick-off November 19
October 28, 2021What’s the recipe for cooking up a perfect business plan? Along with essential ingredients, it takes time and practice. UAA students, community members, and Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Middle College students can get that practice during the 2022 College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) Business Plan Competition. This is an opportunity to craft a business plan as an individual or team and get feedback and inspiration from judges and experienced entrepreneurs.
The CBPP Business Plan Competition consists of a series of events between November 2021 and April 2022. The first event is on online kick-off on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 5:30 pm. Participants will learn about competition categories, dates, guidelines, and prizes. They will meet the judges and hear from James Strong, a 2006 CBPP graduate. Strong owns Sweet Caribou, which just celebrated five years of treating Anchorage to artisan macarons, lunch bowls & gourmet desserts. He will share his experience as an entrepreneur, including how Sweet Caribou has weathered the pandemic. Participants will have a chance to win door prizes, including Sweet Caribou macarons.
Current sponsors of the CBPP Business Plan Competition include Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æn Data Solutions, Anchorage International Rotary Club, Tom Case Leadership Fellows Academy and Alan Johnston
